Bähr Pfalztraube GmbH receives special DLG award for longstanding product quality

Bähr Pfalztraube finally wants to dispel the prejudice that you only drink non-alcoholic wine to be able to drive a car. Instead, people drink Bähr wines to enjoy the flavour of wine.

The idea behind it is easy to explain. What happens if you gradually remove the alcohol from a good wine? Is it still wine? What effect does this have on the flavour?

Well, the result speaks for itself: The flavour remains, only the alcohol has gone.

The Palatinate-based family business Bähr Pfalztraube has set itself the task of producing alcohol-free wines that are in no way inferior to classic wines. What was by no means easy at the beginning has now developed into a success story. The brothers were never interested in simply adding an alcohol-free variant to their own wine. They wanted to create a non-alcoholic wine to savour.

This success is not based on the subjective impressions of friends and acquaintances. Bähr Pfalztraube is the first speciality producer of non-alcoholic wines to receive the award for long-term product quality from the German Agricultural Society (DLG). As a prerequisite for the award, five consecutive years of participation with at least three awards per year must be demonstrated. Such companies are honoured with the „DLG Award for Longstanding Product Quality“ for the first time from the fifth successful year of participation. No other producer can even come close to demonstrating such a performance with non-alcoholic wines.

„This year was the earliest possible time to receive this award, as we were only able to participate with our entire range in 2018,“ says Alexander Bähr, Managing Director of the company. „The award, like the nine other company awards we have now received, underlines our claim to be the quality leader in non-alcoholic wines and sparkling wines.“ From the very beginning, all products submitted by the Palatinate-based company have been tested by the DLG and have been honoured without exception.

So if you are looking for a high-quality accompaniment to a meal, are meeting up with friends and don't want to miss out on enjoyment, you will find it with Bähr wines. It would be difficult to find another non-alcoholic wine of this quality in Germany. The fact that you can even drive home in your own car afterwards is just one positive side effect.
